TOTS ELS COSSOS QUE SOM (2026)
Exhibited at La Llotja de Sant Jordi, Alcoi, as part of the Temps d’Art programme. Selected for the Production Grant awarded by the Càtedra Miró d’Art Contemporani
Tots els cossos que som explores identity as something multiple, shared, and constantly evolving. We are our bodies, but we are also constituted by other forms of life. Millions of microorganisms live with us and within us, continually exchanged between bodies and with the environments we inhabit. Through touch, kissing, breathing together, or simply sharing a space, we pass through one another and are transformed, blurring the boundaries between the individual and the collective.
In this project, Anna Pastor draws on biological processes to make these relationships visible. Microbial traces resulting from different forms of contact are cultivated and transformed into photographs, drawings, paintings, and ceramic works, bringing invisible processes into a visible and tangible scale.
The works do not represent isolated individuals, but encounters. Each one bears the material trace of a relationship between bodies, between human and non-human life, and between the body and the place it inhabits.
Tots els cossos que som invites us to reconsider identity through interdependence, and to understand the body as an open, multiple, and continually transforming entity.
